Nagarkot Sunrise and Himalayan View Tour

Perched along the eastern rim of the Kathmandu Valley at an elevation of 2,175 meters (7,135 feet), Nagarkot has long been celebrated as the premier Himalayan viewpoint closest to Kathmandu. The Nagarkot Sunrise and Himalayan View Tour is an ideal 2-day getaway for travelers yearning for crisp mountain air, pristine pine forests, and breathtaking panoramic mountain vistas.

On clear days, the ridge of Nagarkot commands views across 8 of Nepal's 13 Himalayan mountain ranges, spanning from the Annapurnas in the west through Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Jugal Himal, Dorje Lakpa, and Gauri Shankar, all the way to Mount Everest in the far eastern horizon.

En route to the ridge, journey through time with a visit to the ancient 4th-century Changunarayan Temple, the oldest documented Hindu shrine in Nepal adorned with masterwork stone sculptures of Vishnu. Settle into your hillside resort with a private balcony overlooking terraced valleys and watch the setting sun paint the Himalayan snow peaks in shades of amber and rose gold, followed by an unforgettable sunrise the following morning.
